Recipes Ranchera Sauce
Mexican Cooking:
The Ranchera sauce is the best to serve with chicken tacos.
Ingredients: (4 servings)
1 kg ripe tomatoes
6 serrano chilli peppers
1 finely chopped onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
The juice of ½ lemon
1 Tbsp. Olive oil
Oregano
Salt to taste
Preparation steps:
1. Roast the tomatoes, remove the stalks and the seeds. Finely chop. In a pan, lightly fry the onion for a few minutes. Add the garlic, the tomato and season with salt. Let it cook in low heat, stirring once in a while. Let it reduce and thicken.
2. Remove from the heat, place in a bowl. Add the oil and the lemon juice. Sprinkle with oregano.
